Match Reports

Camogie Junior Championship

The Bray Emmets Adult Camogie team played the first round of the Junior Championship tonight in Pairc Emmet Bhré. On what was a warm and sultry evening, the game got off to a good start with a point from play for Caoimhe Lohan. Numerous scores followed for Bray as the forward line was kept well supplied and Kelly Gilbert found the net several times. Claire Holland supplemented with a goal of her own and Niamh McCormack scored a point. The Annacurra girls battled hard but failed to get past goalie Sophie Mooney and a stalwart defense during the first half.

The second half opened with another excellent score from Kelly Gilbert. Annacurra countered with a goal of their own. The Bray girls went on to score a number of points and another goal.Although Annacurra succeeded in battling on to get another goal,it wasn't to be their night and the final score read Bray 11 g 9p , Annacurra 2 goals.

Well done girls- a fine display of hurling skills and excellent teamwork!! Next round against Arklow Rocks in Arklow Tuesday August 9th.

Team; Sophie Mooney, Brona Murphy, Emily Stephenson, Amy Barry, Jane Butler, Niamh McCormack, Emma Davis, Sadhbh Eglinton, Róisín Quigley, Caoimhe Lohan, Vicky Crimmins, Jenny Molloy, Claire Holland, Kelly Gilbert,Aoife Connaughton,Kelly Waters and Nicola Holland.
Bainisteoir - Paul Sweeney.

U10 Girls Football blitz - Wicklow

We attended a blitz in St Pats and played 3 matches. With a mix up over the start time we were only out of our cars when the first match against Newtown started so it was understandable that we started slow. Thankfully we just about held on in the first half. Much better second half and points from Kate S & Tara got us he win. We were too strong for Pats 2 in the second match and although Pats 1 were more competitive in the third match we were again too strong so finished off with three wins from three. Star player was Emily Ryan.

Foireann: Aine, Cara, Emily, Kate S, Katie C, Kate B, Niamh M, Rachel, Saibh, Tara

Bainisteoiri: Alan Kennedy, Lisa Mahony, Marie Curran, Anita Slattery
