U21 B Hurling All Ireland Championship
Wicklow play Meath on Saturday, September 12th in Semple Stadium, Thurles. Time TBC. A fantastic achievement and well done to the all 9 Emmets lads on the panel.
The 16th annual Bray Emmets Kick Fada competition will take place on Saturday, September 26th this year with a host of the county's and the country's leading kickers expected to attend.
The club had originally intended to hold the only All Ireland GAA occasion annually hosted in Wicklow on September 12th but due to the fact that nine players from Bray will represent Wicklow in the All Ireland U-21 B final v Meath on that day, it was decided to avoid a clash of fixtures.
Saturday September 26th will be a poignant All Ireland Kick Fada as this is the first year that Tom Walsh, who passed away earlier this year, will not be at the centre of activity alongside Pat Wogan running the event among the players.
As a former president of the club and outstanding GAA man, the club has decided to present the Tom Walsh Perpetual Cup to the winner of the men's competition in recognition of the high regard and respect Tom was held in by everyone.
In the competition itself, Longford's Damien Sheridan will be endeavouring to make it a hat-trick of titles following his world record breaking kick last year.
The Kick Fada competition will take place on Saturday 26th of September at 1pm. More details to follow. Please check our Facebook page.

The jerseys can be returned any night of the week to the clubhouse or on Saturday morning between 10.30 and 12.30pm. Under 12 Hurling
Bray Emmets vs Carnew Emmets
Bray 7-24 - Carnew2-0
Bray Emmets under 12 hurlers played their latest Wicklow League match this past Saturday against Carnew Emmets. The team travelled to Pearses Park, Arklow, determined to atone for a defeat earlier in the year. They played with huge intensity and scored quickly and often. Throughout the match and in all areas of the pitch their play was a joy to behold as they used the whole range of hurling skills to completely dominate the game.
With a final score of 7:24 to 2:0 and the compliments of their supporters, the opposing coaches and the referee ringing in their ears the kids headed home happy.
Team: Michael, Nathan, Louie, Jamie, Conor M, Luan, Oscar, Gavin, Cian, Conor D, Evan and John.U-13 Hurling
6 -2 - Bray Emmets 2 – 5.
The U13 hurlers travelled to Porterstown Park on Saturday August 22 to continue their Dublin Campaign. Missing most of the squad due to holidays and other commitments, sincere thanks to the u-12’s who played and allowed the fixture to go ahead with 13-a- side. T
he concession of a number of early goals had the lads chasing the game from the off, but they fought for everything and although they struggled to impose themselves on a skilful and physically bigger Castleknock side they were still in the game at half time and went in behind on a scoreline of 2-2 to 4-0. The lads continued their best efforts in the second half and imposed themselves on Castleknock, but unfortunately were unable to catch them, and the concession of a couple of goals in the final third decided the fixture. Special mention to Cathal who scored 1- 4 from midfield and Cian Forde who finished with 1-1 from play, to Aaron who was a dynamo in defence and to Michael who was playing his first full game of hurling. Ben’s puck outs were very good and all the backs, Adam, Aaron, Tadhg, Conor, and Eoin were excellent, keeping Castleknock to a single point from play. At midfield Cathal and Zack worked tirelessly, and the forwards Oscar, Rory, Cian, Michael and Andrew made the very best of their opportunities.
Team: Ben Gorman, Eoin Holmes, Aaron O’ Rourke, Tadhg Mac Carthy, Adam Bushe, Conor Duff, Cathal Eddy, Zack Collins, Oscar Harty, Rory Mulcahy, Cian Forde, Andrew Mc Cann, Michael Mac Carthy.
